The science and technology park of the autonomous region of Bolzano is home to three research institutes, 4 facilities of the University of Bolzano Library, 45 scientific laboratories, 90 companies, start-ups and various other institutions. All are actively engaged in Food, Science and Technology Research & Development.

NSPulse is embedded within NOI Techpark as an innovative startup sharing services, culture and scientific exchange.

Providing advanced-level courses and spearheading innovative research in agricultural and horticultural sciences, environmental management, and food sciences. With an emphasis on sustainability and a distinctive approach which centres on interdisciplinary collaboration.

NSPulse engages in active collaboration with the working group led by Prof. Marco Gobbetti, the dean of the faculty and a distinguished international researcher in Food Microbiology. Prof Marco Gobbetti is also the founder of Micro 4 Foods, located within the NOI Techpark.

NSPulse is an active member of the new INTERNATIONAL CENTRE ON FOOD FERMENTATIONS of Unibiz, Europe’s centre of excellence in food fermentation.

NSPulse actively participates in the governance of the centre through collaboration with scientific institutions and multinational food companies.

Backwell Tech.GmbH specialises in the development of Artificial Intelligence algorithms for software applications. In collaboration with NSPulse, they have created the Boston For Food solution, designed specifically for the food industry. This innovative software supports the entire product development process, whether creating new products or enhancing existing ones. The Boston For Food software autonomously conducts competitive analysis, identifies protein suitable for desired product specifications and optimises ingredients and recipes based on defined objectives. Leveraging the latest Machine Learning techniques, particularly in Deep Learning and Natural Language Processing (NLP), Boston For Food represents a cutting-edge solution for the industry.
